Privacy Policy: Features

Privacy Statement


This privacy statement sets out how we use and protect the information you provide when using the services and accessing the website www.artofspirit.co.uk, as well as your personal data stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation (2018). Personal data refers to anything that may identify you as an individual including name, contact details. 


What information do we collect about you? 

You can initially contact Esi Cakmakcioglu by filling in an email form provided on the Contact page. You would be asked to provide your:

Name

Email

Subject- Registering for Newsletter, requesting Spiritual Mediumship, Spiritual Healing, Past Life Regression sessions and/or Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Message- For you to explain fully the reason for your inquiry which will be used in order to make contact with you to discuss your requirements.

GROUP 1- If your inquiry related to Spiritual Mediumship, Spiritual Healing and Past Life Regression sessions no further information will be required from you before or during your meeting with Esi. Your session may be recorded electronically for future reference, and/or which can be send to you to listen should you wish to choose this option.  


GROUP 2- If you choose to proceed with making an appointment for Clinical Hypnotherapy, I will sent a copy of this Private Policy so that you are aware in advance how the information you provided will be used in the course of therapy sessions.

You will asked for your GP contact details, and some basic health information: there are some conditions that are contra indicated for hypnotherapy and sometimes there are circumstance where it may be necessary to contact your GP before commencing therapy. You will be informed of this at our appointment should this appear appropriate. 

In the course of the first session, you would be asked to fill in a Confidential Questionnaire before or during your first session, which will include:

Title, Name and surname

Gender, Date of Birth

Email address

Postal address

Mobile phone

Contact method

Health and family history


E-mail address is taken for the purposes of sending you a recording to listen to as part of the therapy. It may also be necessary to send emails to confirm or rearrange appointments. 

For the purposes of clarity, no bank details are received or retained. 

Purpose of collecting and processing data

The information may be collected and processed orally by telephone, electronically by email, skype, What’sUp and SMS as well as in writing. E-mail address is taken for the purposes sending emails to confirm or rearrange appointments. 


In addition, you may receive further information about additional services offered in the future, or about well being in general in the form of a News Letter. You can tick the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the end of the News Letter If you wish not be contacted for these purposes.

For Group 2: The following information will be discussed with you in your first session. All the data collected is used solely for your treatment with Clinical Hypnotherapy. The data enables Esi to make informed decisions for your treatment.


Confidential Questionnaire will require you to provide further information about your family and medical history to form the basis for your treatment. This includes any information you choose to supply regarding the purpose of your enquiry.


In order to decide for a bespoke plan for your therapy sessions, and identify/produce scripts which will be used in session and/or which can be sent to you to listen to between sessions. Any other information you provide will also be noted.


You will be asked for details of your next of kin. This is used very rarely, and only in emergency situations. 

You do not have to consent to the collection of information, however, if you choose not to provide it, Esi may not be able to work with you. 

Your therapy sessions may also be recorded electronically for future reference, or future reference and security, and/or which can be send to you to listen.

Where is your information storage?


To avoid risk of data loss, the electronic data is password protected and stored in Apple iCloud, and the physical notes are kept within a locked fire protected cabinet.  


Written data is stored in a secure filing system for a period of 8 years from the date of the client’s last visit or, if the client is a child, until his or her 25th birthday, or 26th birthday if the client was 17 when the treatment ended. Any loss of data or breach of data protection will be reported to the ICO. These will be shredded once it is no longer is needed.

Who do we share data with?

Your personal information is not shared with any third parties.

Individual rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulations, which are effective from 25 May 2018, you have the following rights: 


The right to be informed: (which is why we have produced this policy).

The right of access: if you wish to see your file then please make a request in writing to esi@artofspirit.co.uk. or Esi Cakmakcioglu, 7 Willesden Lane, Sussex House, London NW6 7RB. Esi will provide you with the information within 30 days of your request.


The right to rectification: this is your right to request changes to any information I hold that is factually inaccurate. If you believe any of the information I hold on you is incorrect then please let me know as soon as possible and I will make the relevant changes. 


The right to erasure: given the nature of our work I am required to hold your details for a period of 8 years, this means that registrants have a ‘legitimate interest’ in retaining records for this period. After this, your information will be securely destroyed. 

The right to restrict processing: I will only use the information for the purposes that I have stated above. I uphold the common law principles of confidentiality where the duty to keep confidence is measured against the concept of ‘greater good’. If in my opinion as a therapist, there is good reason to believe not to disclose would cause danger or serious harm to self, the therapist or others then your GP or other appropriate agencies may be contacted. Only information required to ensure safety of relevant parties would be disclosed. Information may have to be disclosed without consent for the prevention, detection or prosecution of a crime. The sharing of anonymous case histories with supervisors and peer support groups is not a breach of professional confidentiality. 

The right to data portability: this right is more relevant to IT companies e.g. the sharing of information when moving from one utility provider to another. I will not share your information without your specific consent, other than in the situations described above. 

The right to object: I will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given me specific consent to do so. 

The right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling: I will not use your information for profiling purposes. 

Information we collect from you and how we use it: I may use your information to contact you for your views on the services offered, as well as to occasionally notify you about important changes, or developments to the website or services. Furthermore, I may also use your information to let you know about some other services which may be of interest to you. Depending on your elected means of communication, we may contact you by telephone, e-mail, Skype or WhatsUp. If you decide that you do not want to receive any further communications, please let us know by sending an e-mail to esi@artofspirit.co.uk or by choosing ‘unsubscribe’ on the newsletters.


Registering: You can browse Art of Spirit website without registering. However, you need to fill in the contact email if you wish to arrange for private sittings, receive spiritual healing and/or ask for Past Life Regression or Clinical Hypnotherapy.  


Registration is free. To register, you will be asked to enter your name, email address and a few other personal details as explained in ‘What information do we collect about you?’ above.


Completing the registration process only takes a few minutes. Any personal information or account details you give us will be securely protected.


How we secure customer information:  We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.


Art of Spirit website complies with the terms of the Data Protection Act. We make every effort to secure your information and maintain your confidentiality, including using Secure Socket Server and encrypting all entered data. 


Changes to our privacy policy: Any changes to our privacy policy will be added to this website and will immediately supersede any previously posted information.
